Hey everyone! Week 1 of this podcast went so incredibly well, and I can' wait to share my second interview with you! This week, it's with Kelly Krout. Kelly is on staff with The CALL and is also a trainer for The CALL. She's been in the foster care/adoption game for a while and has 2 (and kind of 3) adopted sons to show for it in addition to her 4 biological sons. That's like a basketball team of boys, you guys. SO. MANY. BOYS. But if anyone can handle it, it's Kelly for sure.
Kelly is probably one of my top 5 funniest friends, and when you listen to her episode, you will definitely see why. She has this way of being so incredibly relatable and hilarious, while also dropping some serious wisdom bombs.
When we got together to chat, we discussed the struggles of not living up to the facade that "we love our adopted kids the exact same and from the very beginning we just knew they were ours and everything just clicked and it's all fine and great." I'm cringing just from typing that. That's rarely reality, and Kelly and I discuss the ins and outs of learning to love our adopted kids well, even when it's hard, and to give ourselves grace along the way. You won't want to miss this interview!
We are finally up and at 'em on Stitcher AND iTunes. It would just be so wonderful if you could rate and review us on iTunes, it helps us rise in their ranking system and makes this podcast more accessible to the moms (and dads) who need to hear all this good stuff from our guests. Thanks so much for your continued support!
